On-Camera
Acting Training for San Jose and South Bay Area Adults, Teens and
Kids.
Just
For Actors provides television, commercial and film acting training
for the inexperienced and the professional, who are looking for the
“reel thing” learning with film industry standard lighting
and
grip equipment to gain experience a step further than the normal
acting class.
Adults,
Teens, Tweens, and Kids -
The
following acting classes are offered at the Campbell Community Center
in a clean safe environment with plenty of free parking. During
kid’s classes, parents can walk the track here or walk to
shopping
in Downtown Campbell.
Beginning,
Intermediate & Advanced Levels
• Acting on-camera.
• Audition and Casting Skills
For Commercials, Film and TV.
• Performance including
experience in actual video shoots
• Video Lighting, Editing, and
Movie Making.
• Auditioning With A
Teleprompter (at Nancy Hayes Casting).
Just For Actors
classes are under the
sole direction of Dennis Sakamoto who has been a working actor in
Hollywood and New York City for over 30 years. He made a living at
it for over 20 years and qualified for retirement pension from the
Screen Actors Guild. In the course of his career, Sakamoto has
performed principal roles with Alan Alda, Richard Burton, Jose
Ferrer, Morgan Freeman, William Hurt, Michael Keaton, Telly Savalas,
George C. Scott, Sigourney Weaver, George Wendt, and James Woods.
Sakamoto has been cast by leading directors including Ron Howard,
Tony Scott, Peter Yates, John Boorman, and Arthur Penn.
For Movie
Making, Dennis has trained
in Advanced Film Lighting with The Ryerson Professional
Cinematography Course in Toronto, DV Camera, Location Sound, and
Advanced Feature Film Lighting with The International Film &
Television Workshops in Maine, and Video Camera, Location Lighting,
and Digital Cinematography with SONY. Dennis’ actual experience
in
lighting, editing, producing and directing features, commercials,
internet industrials, and over 500 actors in digital videos for the
Internet, will give professional insights and experience to students
who want to learn the real thing beyond just an acting teacher’s
perspective.
Eight
week sessions begin every Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Total
cost is $200 for the entire session.
